BLAZING STAR ARTS

Award-winning fused glass artists, Bonnie Quintanilla and Sue Wolhaupter are inspired by the beauty, abstractness, and symmetry of nature. Their work sparks conversation, inspires joy, and reflects the power of the human spirit. They combine bold colors and innovative techniques to create unique works of art and practical art-ware enjoyed by collectors worldwide.

Art has been a significant influence throughout our lives and an experience we continue to share with family and friends. We are captivated by the magic of glass and how something that essentially starts as a grain of sand has the unique ability to capture, reflect, and transmit light in a way that constantly transforms itself and its surroundings.

Our passion for Glass Art has inspired us to study extensively with many of the leading glass artists in the country, including Richard LaLonde, Michael Dupille, Ann Cavanaugh, Patty Gray, Kevin Kanyo, Gail Stouffer, and Fred Buxton. Every piece we create is an exciting adventure and an opportunity to translate our vision and customers' ideas into glass.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I spent four decades in education, serving students and academic communities at Conejo Valley Public Schools, UCLA, Boston Public Schools, and Bentley University (Massachusetts).  Later in life, I discovered a passion for art that led me in an entirely new direction.

What began as curiosity became a meaningful creative journey. Art has brought me a sense of calm, balance, and joy while allowing me to express myself in new ways. Encouragement from family, friends, and the wonderful people I've met at arts and crafts shows gave me the confidence to pursue this passion.

Today, I create hand-painted trays, purses, clothing, and other functional art pieces that combine beauty with everyday purpose. Each piece is individually crafted to bring color, personality, and joy into daily life. My hope is to create art that is not only admired, but also used, loved, and enjoyed for years to come.

FOLLOW THE SUN SOAPS

My products are a natural fit for a harvest-themed event because they celebrate botanicals, seasonal ingredients, and handcrafted artistry. Each of my handmade soaps is thoughtfully created using skin-loving oils and butters, along with natural ingredients inspired by nature and the harvest season. I incorporate dried herbs, botanical infusions, and natural colorants such as Himalayan rhubarb powder, turmeric, spirulina, and matcha, as well as nourishing fruit and vegetable purées including pumpkin, carrot, and cucumber.

My handcrafted candles are made with a premium coconut wax and apricot oil blend, providing a clean-burning, eco-conscious alternative to traditional paraffin candles. Many of my products are scented with nature-inspired fragrances and are designed to bring the warmth, comfort, and beauty of the changing seasons into the home.

The focus of my business is creating artisan bath and home products that highlight the beauty of natural ingredients, making my collection a wonderful complement to a harvest festival that celebrates craftsmanship, nature, and the abundance of the season.

PLUMAGE JEWELRY

Plumage Jewelry began in 2004 as a creative outlet when I was a mama of toddlers. I was making jewelry for myself and to give as gifts when a local boutique owner saw my jewelry and asked if I would consider making it to sell at her shop. My business was birthed! Since then, my jewelry business has grown to selling through my website and also at local market events. I make all the jewelry myself using sterling silver and gold filled components adorned with semi-precious gemstones, pearls and shells. It’s my joy to create delicate pieces that are both works of art and durable for everyday wear.

PACIFIC WOOD AND RESIN

Pacific Wood and Resin was birthed from my love of nature and wood. I enjoy creating things with my hands and enjoy the colors and textures of wood. Wood craft seemed like an excellent way to express my creativity. What started out as an experiment has turned into a side business after my art received much praise and affirmation.

Wood of different types (olive, maple, walnut) is combined with epoxy resin, which I tint using natural mineral pigments to make charcuterie boards, coasters and wall-hangings.

SC Creations

SC Creations was born out of a friendship of two people that have strong convictions about re-purposing items found on our local beaches and in our everyday environment. We create works of art that are varied but have a similar feel about them. Through our creative collaborations, our friendship has grown and our artwork is flourishing.
